Are you new to quilting your own quilts? Would you like to take your quilting to the next level? Uncomfortable with free motion quilting? Then perhaps this class is for you. Learn how to use your walking foot to quilt and to combine with free motion designs. This class teaches you how to break down a quilt into more manageable areas for quilting and takes the fear out of free motion quilting. Join Robbie Berg on Tuesday, October 11th 10:00-4:00 pm for this fun class.
This is the second class in a series about quilting with your walking foot. For this class we will be adding a section on how to use your free motion foot to enhance your walking foot quilting with fillers. The first class in the series is not a required pre-requisite to this class although it is helpful. However, please be familiar with how to install both your walking and free motion feet. It would also be helpful if you have done some simple straight line quilting with your walking foot so you understand the motion and how it performs on your sewing machine.
The following is a supply list for the class:
If you would like to go an extra step, stitch one or two of your quilt sandwiches in a 2” grid pattern with your walking foot. You can do it vertically and horizontally or on the diagonal or both. If you took the last class, we worked on that. Don’t worry if you don’t have time to do this. I will allow time and go over it in class.
